Just returned from Layang Layang trip Divemaster 1 ... and want to go back already ! !
The service on the boat is still awesome, the crew is so nice and so flexible : you understand right away that their unique goal is to make you happy.
Divemaster 1 is not just an ordinary boat changed to a dive boat : it is a diver's boat from its conception and thus every single detail is well thought. It really makes your trip different !
Layang Layang is a unique dive destination. This small atoll is surounded by 2000 meters deep water. The reef is intact and corals are beautiful with a rich marine life.
But if you go there you want to go to the blue and look around for ... hammerhead sharks, manta rays, whale sharks, shools of devils rays, grey sharks, turtles ... we have been very lucky and saw all of them !
During the trip, we spent two nights on the island's small resort. It is nice to be back on the land and walk a bit.
Also during the trip, Divemaster 1 gives the opportunity to dive Labuan's great wrecks and the remote Dallas reef, where nobody else dive.
If you are still hesitating, just sign in, you will not regret it !

What is a dream holiday for you?
For me, I just love getting out of the city and the hectic life. I love being surrounded by nature, I love being lazy, but some adventure would also be nice. Despite all this, I also have to admit that I'm not the type that would be willing to sacrifice the comfort I have at home just to be with the nature!
Four years ago, a good friend of mine introduced me to SCUBA diving. I wasn't sure until she told me about her experience with Dive Master 1, her favorite live-aboard boat. She promised me the endless sea all day long without having to worry about the mess from the sand. She told me the service can be compared to 5-Star hotel, and she said it is just so beautiful underwater that I will forget to breath!

I signed up and my first time was the Similan-Richelieu trip with DM1 - and my first experience was just amazing! We saw manta rays in several dives and it felt more like a dream! I found that life on board was even better than what my friend promised -- the boat was very clean and nice, the staff were all friendly and the service was just great. It was very relaxing and I felt like I was a princess and everyone was pampering and spoiling me. At the end of the trip, I didn't want to go back home or to busy Bangkok life.

With DM1, I went on Similan-Richelieu route several more times and went to Layang-Layang last June, and every experience has been more than GREAT! I've seen a lot more of the nature's beauty, including the whale shark who swam in front of us for 12 minutes! I've had some good parties at sun set up on the deck, and even made new life-long friends from the trips -- What more could I ask for from a dream vacation?

WHEN I AM LOOKING FOR A LUXURY LIVEABROAD
“I look for the operations run by a company who love
diving, good reputation and concern about the
environment as well, and I don’t mind paying a little
more extra to assure that I can get on the right boat.
Back from Layang Layang’s trip, it was incredible dive
trip! The expertise of the Dive Master’s dive leader
is a key to smoothing, helping me to get the nice
underwater pictures as I wish. Eventhough the dive
leader is not a local diver, they are well-trained to
learn about the dive sites destination and encourage
all divers to dive safely, not only for the diver, but
also the environment.
Just a quick note to say thank you for everything,
Dive Master Live abroad is working professionally,
Excellent support from service-mind staff and
captain, lovely boat, skillful dive leader, beautiful
dive locations and the delicious Thai food. These are
the reasons why I am a regular customer with Dive
Master. If I have a chance to dive with Dive Matser
live abroad again, I will definitely join on the ride.

Before i'm getting on a jet to Losin, there's a phone call ,indeed, from Mr. Fatfish... He asking me that if i'm gonna interest of Diving at Similan National Park on a Close-Season... With out thinking..."YES" i replied...
This is my first time that i come to Similan with no other diving vessel, no wind, no current! just the Divemaster 1 Liveaboard and our loving sea...
It was a big surprise that normally, it's suppose to be big wave, windy, or even hard raining., but for some reason above my head, it as silent as i would ever know this Islands...
Deep down underwater with more than a 100feets Visibility, i could never ask anything more than that... not too much light, like somebody was dimming the sun... it's perfect for U/W Photographer like me...
Even though this time, i did not bring the Wide Angle lens down to Hin-Muan-Diew and East of Eden... I was still happy with my macro kits, there were not much of big fish, but the landscape couldn't stop making me thinking of my 10.5mm Fisheye Lens...
But anyway, my 100mm macro still did not let me down, when i'm not focusing on any landscape, instead, looking down at the white sandy bottom, or a small hole of rocks, i was reallize that there are plenty of small creatures to look around...
At Scubazoom.com there were a thread on a topic of what you've neverseen in your diving life, and they are talking about what's the passion of diving?
So many times, as a photographer, i keep looking for a rare or big species, but some how forgotten myself that what am i really doing...
But now, i reallize that no matter the dive site is, what you are diving for... There are always a thing to find or to shoot[photos] but it's just how you present it, and that's what keep me diving 'til this day...
Scuba diving is not only a recreational sports, it's an relaxation, or even a social activities, you know more people, learning on them, which is i think, to learn or to experienced, will never end. I like learning a new things :-) it's a benefit to your life...
Anyway, i think this is it... for my officially 1st Blog :-) Thanks to Fatfish and Divemster.net that given a good opportunity for a Trip like this, and i will definitly come again on next year....
Enjoy Diving!!!!

This is my second time on my favourite boat.
I spent 5 great days travelling on Divemaster boat
through the Similan Island,KOH Bon,KOH Tachai and Richelieu Rock in January 2008. The boat is very comfortable and specaious. The food was fantastic. The crew was also great, always ready to help whenever possible. They were also a good group of people. See you again in Labuan-Layang.
I highly also recommend this boat to any travellers

Message from the Andaman Expedition
CHRIS EDWARDS
I want to say a very sincere "thank you" to yourself and your wonderful crew for all that you did to make the Andamans voyage such a success. As you know I have been involved with professional Yacht Captaincy for many many years and in very many different types of yachts, both power yachts and sailing yachts. And over the years of being at sea in all these different vessels I know that a voyage is only successful if the Captain and the Crew work together as a team and in harmony with each other.
Aboard DiveMaster I was very happy and impressed with all your Crew and how hard they all worked during the charter. I hope my contribution was also useful and worthwhile to them and particularly to you, Martin and the Guests.
